About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at Dallas Watt Demo Ltd. As a key member of our estimating department, you will play a crucial role in preparing accurate and detailed estimates for our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate Preparation: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs, as well as estimates for general expenses and overheads.
  • Estimate Reporting: Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms to stakeholders.
  • Tender Analysis: Analyze tenders and recommend awards to ensure the best value for our company.
  • Cost Monitoring: Set up and monitor cost monitoring and reporting systems to ensure project costs are within budget.
  • Contract Administration: Monitor and adjust contract expenditures to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Supply Chain Management: Prepare and maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors.
  • Communication: Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to discuss changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience in estimating or a related field is an asset.
  • Work Setting: Estimating.
  • Tasks: Prepare estimates, analyze tenders, monitor costs, and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Transportation/Travel: Willing to travel.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, tight deadlines, attention to detail, and combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, organized, team player, and proactive.
