Job Title: Draftsperson

We are seeking a skilled Draftsperson to join our team at Rodan Energy Solutions.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing electrical and mechanical drawings and sketches for equipment and systems in a Thermal generating station.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare all types of electrical and mechanical drawings and sketches for equipment and systems in a Thermal generating station.
  • Participate in walk-downs of the plant to ensure configuration management is supported.
  • Vectorize existing hand-drawn (raster) WPC drawings to new ESM3R Standard.
  • Update existing drawings (vector) to new standard which involves updating of the symbology and adding attributes.
Requirements
  • Mechanical or Electrical Technician/Technologist.
  • Clear communication skills (oral and written) and experience with Power Systems.
  • Draftsperson with system experience (Mechanical or Electrical).
  • Min 2 years (4,000 hours) drafting experience required; 5-8 years within Power Generation/industrial setting, preferred.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD and Raster Design.
  • Requires a general knowledge of the various functional relationships associated with a multi-discipline drawing office.
