Job Summary

Halton Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Device Reprocessing Tech to join our team. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient processing of medical devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support nursing staff and physicians in the provision of patient care, including positioning patients, cleaning operating rooms, and ensuring necessary supplies and equipment are available.
  • Assist with case cart management, picking cases, stocking, and patient transportation.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain a clean and organized operating room environment.
  • Participate in the collection and return of equipment and specimens, and assist with stocking rooms as needed.
  • Provide support to the operating room staff in the care of the preoperative patient.
Requirements
  • Minimum grade 12 education required.
  • Current certificate from a recognized college-level Medical Device Reprocessing Course or CSA Medical Device Reprocessing Certification required.
  • One year of experience in the OR, doing the OR support role required.
  • Previous Central Sterilization and Reprocessing experience required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Aptitude for working with delicate and heavy equipment, ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Satisfactory employment and attendance record required.

Working Conditions

Monday to Sunday, various rotating hour shifts. Hours subject to change based on operational requirements.
