About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Specialist to join our team at Enbridge Inc. in Calgary, Alberta. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for reviewing and processing purchase requisitions for materials and services, ensuring compliance with purchasing procedures and requisition requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and process purchase requisitions for goods/services and ensure compliance with purchasing procedures and requisition requirements.
  • Submit RFQs to suppliers/contractors that have MSA and/or T&C agreements.
  • Interact with Suppliers, Contractors, Project Managers, Project Engineers, Consultants, and other department personnel regarding requisition requirements, procurement procedures, approvals, order status, and follow-up.
  • Maintain records in accordance with established policies and procedures and audit guidelines/SOX requirements.
Requirements
  • University degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or related field with limited previous experience. For those who do not possess a university degree, an additional 3 years of related experience is required.
  • Previous related experience within Supply Chain as a materials/services buyer is preferred.
  • BASIC understanding of supply chain concepts including current market conditions, key suppliers, industry knowledge, and materials or services being procured (basic materials to complex services).
  • Ability to effectively communicate within a team environment.
  • Possess a 'sense of urgency' and ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment.
Benefits
