Job Summary

Surerus Pipeline Inc is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Labourer / Wash Bay Attendant to join our team in Fort St John. As a key member of our shop team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment, ensuring equipment is properly cleaned and prepared for service or dispatch.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in and around the shop, including sweeping, washing, and organizing equipment and tools.
  • Ensure the wash bay is maintained in a clean and safe condition, including sweeping and washing the shop as necessary.
  • Clear walkways and the front of wash bays of debris and snow, and apply ice melt as needed to prevent slips and falls.
  • Dispose of garbage, clean up fluids on floors, and perform other duties as required to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Operate hand and power tools, and perform spotting for various types of equipment.
  • Hand in paperwork as required by administration and the safety department.
  • Report all unsafe conditions, hazards, or equipment damage immediately to the Supervisor.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be reliable, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Physically fit, with 1-3 years of directly related experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with heavy equipment considered an asset.
  • Safety certifications such as Standard First Aid and Loader Certification considered an asset.
  • Strong communication skills and above-average work ethic.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time hourly position, with standard hours of work from Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm. Overtime hours may be required on an as needed basis.

This is a safety-sensitive position that will require a pre-access drug and alcohol test.
