Overview

The H&K Group, Inc. is a dynamic group of vertically integrated companies that provides complete heavy civil contracting and construction materials solutions. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Specialist to support our heavy civil and highway construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • To oversee and supervise job sites throughout the jurisdiction, currently including Susquehanna, Lackawanna, and Luzerne Counties, PA.
  • To ensure compliance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • To participate in the investigation of accidents, injuries, and vandalism, and develop preventive measures.
  • To maintain accurate and up-to-date safety files and records.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, or a related field, with comparable experience in a safety role in the heavy civil construction industry.
  • At least 2 years of relevant safety/environmental experience in the heavy civil construction industry.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Presentation and public/group speaking abilities.
