Epi Group and Family Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Epi Group and Family Therapist to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a key member of our mental health services team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive group psychoeducation and group therapy services to clients and families in our EPI Program.
Key Responsibilities- Group Intervention and Education: Develop and deliver group psychoeducation and group therapy services to clients and families, utilizing evidence-based practices and methods such as psychosocial and mental status assessments.
- Family Intervention and Support: Provide education, assessment, short-term family therapy, and multi-family group therapy services to families and caregivers of clients, promoting improvement in clients and families/caregivers as it relates to psychosis and other developmental and system issues.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with clients, families, community supports, and multi-disciplinary treatment teams to coordinate services and ensure comprehensive care.
- Professional Development and Research: Stay current with best practices in group and family therapy, psychosis, and related fields, and participate in professional development activities to improve care through new practices.
- Education and Experience: Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Counselling, or other relevant health-related discipline, with a minimum of one year's recent experience in acute or community psychiatry and two years' recent experience in group therapy and family therapy.
- Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge and understanding of mental illness, particularly early psychosis, and a variety of treatment modalities, including group psychotherapy and family interventions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and teams.
