Overview

The Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB) seeks a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing pharmaceutical care to patients in Cree communities.

Salary

We offer an attractive salary range of $85,000-$110,000 per year, commensurate with experience, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package.

Job Description

As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing pharmaceutical care to patients in Cree communities;
  • Proceeding with order entry and pharmacological analysis of each file;
  • Producing pharmacological profiles, Medication Administration Records (MARs), and Dispills Profiles when required;
  • Actively participating in morning meetings;
  • Representing the pharmacy department as part of the CMC's daily activities to physicians, professionals, and managers;
  • Maintaining accurate records of medication dosage and laboratory tests relevant to your duties;
  • Compiling data on patients in chronic care and providing support for monitoring their drug therapy;
  • Assisting the pharmacy technician with orders, particularly when there are shortages, and with the control of narcotics, controlled drugs, and targeted substances by verifying/completing the necessary forms;
  • Transmitting administrative questions beyond your responsibility to the head of the pharmacy department;
  • Collaborating to achieve the objectives of the department;
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A University Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree;
  • A graduate degree, Master's in hospital pharmacy is a major asset;
  • Membership in good standing of the Ordre des pharmaciens du Québec;
  • At least two years of experience in clinical pharmacy in the last 5 years;
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment;
