Job Title: Chief Design Engineer

At Masco Canada Limited, we are seeking a highly skilled Chief Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development of new products and ensuring they meet the highest safety, quality, and product standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and validate new products for Masco Canada operations
  • Manage all engineering-related functions for Masco Canada Products from cradle to grave
  • Value Engineering and Warranty and Quality Support for existing products
  • Engineering Change Management for existing products
  • Review of detail design drawings, DFMEAs, test plans, and test instructions
  • Review all project technical specifications and business plans for content and accuracy
  • Identify project risks and aid in action plans to reduce risk
  • Manage a pipeline of value engineering idea templates from generation through implementation
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering; Engineering degree would be an asset
  • 8-10 years of experience in the field
  • Engineering supervision experience
  • Project management experience would be an asset
  • Understanding of plumbing and electronic products, reliability, sensing, and control would be an asset
  • Knowledge of plumbing regulatory requirements would be an asset
