About the Role:
The Strategic Operations Director will be responsible for evaluating daily operations, planning and organizing daily operations, managing staff and assigning duties, studying market research and trends, determining merchandise and services to be sold, implementing price and credits policies, locating and selecting merchandise for resale, developing and implementing marketing strategies, planning budgets and monitoring revenues and expenses, determining staffing requirements, resolving issues that may arise, recruiting, hiring and supervising staff and/or volunteers, and overseeing 5-10 people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate daily operations and make data-driven decisions to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Plan and organize daily operations to ensure smooth execution and timely completion of tasks.
- Manage staff and assign duties to maximize their potential and achieve business objectives.
- Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes, and the impact of competitors' operations on sales.
- Determine merchandise and services to be sold based on market research and customer needs.
- Implement price and credits policies to optimize revenue and maintain competitiveness.
- Locate and select merchandise for resale, ensuring quality and availability meet customer expectations.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote products and services and increase brand awareness.
- Plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses to ensure financial stability and growth.
- Determine staffing requirements based on business needs and industry standards.
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages, in a timely and professional manner.
- Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers to maintain a high-performing team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Experience with budgeting and financial management.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
