Role Overview

\

As a Logistics Coordinator at John Ross & Sons Ltd., you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient movement of goods and materials.

\

Key responsibilities include:

\
  • \
  • Managing a diverse team of drivers to optimize routes and reduce transit times\
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with customers and sales teams to ensure seamless logistics operations\
  • Implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs\
  • Ensuring compliance with quality control and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment\
  • Tracking and managing BINs in CRO to minimize errors and delays\
  • Coordinating with customers for drop-offs and pick-ups to meet their needs and expectations\
  • Preparing invoices and maintaining accurate records to ensure timely payments\
  • Reporting service and operational metrics to stakeholders to inform decision-making\
  • Collaborating with the Logistics Manager to address issues and improve operations\
  • Other duties as assigned\

Requirements and Qualifications

\

The successful candidate will possess:

\
  • \
  • A strong background in logistics and transportation management\
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar fast-paced role\
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook\
  • Experience with internal house systems (CRO, Time Vue, and Mayer)\
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organization skills\
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a demanding environment\
  • Flexibility to work Monday to Friday with rotating Saturdays\
