About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Customs Agent Professional to join our growing team at International Bulk Services. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years customs brokerage experience and hold a valid customhouse broker license and CCS certification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and process import/export documents and other forms on behalf of clients in accordance with customs regulations, laws, and procedures.
  • Prepare entry forms that include rail movement information such as classification codes, country of origin, weights, and quantities.
  • Submit documentation to customs government departments.
  • Assist clients in securing paperwork needed to qualify imports for trade programs.
  • Help clients with export rail movement; provide information on export licenses and submit information through automated export systems.
  • Represent clients under a power of attorney with customs officials.
  • Apply for tariff reclassifications and duty refunds.
  • Coordinate transportation and storage of imported goods.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years customs brokerage experience.
  • Valid customhouse broker license and CCS certification preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Supply Chain/Logistics/customs brokerage education a bonus.
  • Previous customer service experience required.
  • Knowledge of complex import laws and regulations.
  • Excellent computer skills; advanced knowledge of Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Must be willing to travel; must have access to a vehicle.
  • Able to pass pre-employment Criminal Background Check.
