About the Role

Buckerfield's Parksville BC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Store Manager to lead our retail operations team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient management of all retail and warehousing operations at our Parksville store location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that customers receive a positive and personalized shopping experience.
  • Sales and Inventory Management: Achieve sales and gross margin targets, manage inventory levels, and improve inventory turns to maximize profitability.
  • Staff Management: Lead, coach, and inspire a positive team of employees, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Operational Efficiency: Ensure that all retail and warehousing operations are running smoothly and efficiently, with a focus on safety and health.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion and certification of Grade 12 Diploma, or equivalent.
  • Experience: A minimum of three to five years of retail experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Skills: Excellent customer service and merchandising skills, with the ability to understand customer needs and the local market. Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Certifications: Willingness to obtain Veterinary Dispenser certificate and Pesticide Dispenser certificate.
