At Providence Health Care, we are seeking a Clinical Social Worker Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide therapeutic clinical counselling services to patients, conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, and maintain patient records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides therapeutic clinical counselling services to patients, including exploring their situation, identifying goals, and facilitating change in coping styles and behaviors.
- Conducts comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments using methods such as interviewing, gathering social data, and interpreting data to impact patient coping abilities.
- Assesses patient needs and available services, develops treatment options, and facilitates patient utilization of community services and rehabilitative programs.
- Maintains patient records through electronic methods, including documenting assessments, charting information, and preparing progress notes and reports.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited university.
- Two years of recent, related experience working with diverse marginalized populations in the areas of HIV/AIDS, substance use/addictions, and/or mental health.
- Current full registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers.
