We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our housekeeping team at Days Inn & Suites Sault Ste Marie as a Hotel Maintenance Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our hotel rooms and public areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture, make beds and change sheets, stock linen closet, clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • Lost and Found: Handle and report lost and found items.
  • Guest Services: Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items, pick up debris and empty trash containers, wash windows, walls and ceilings, clean changing rooms and showers.
  • Support Services: Address customers' complaints or concerns, provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees, offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees.

This is a permanent position working 30 to 40 hours per week. The language of work is English.
