Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Lift Operator to join our team at Vail Resorts. As a Lift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of guests and staff across our mountain terrain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the safety of passengers and provide instruction on loading and unloading procedures.
  • Operate lifts to ensure optimal chair capacity and follow Lift Operations guidelines.
  • Notify maintenance and dispatch of repair or maintenance needs.
  • Work closely with Lift Maintenance to learn proper lift equipment operation.
  • Implement emergency procedures as required.
  • Ensure lifts are ready for operation and set up/disassemble lift mazes daily.
  • Follow company and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe work area and cleanliness of lift shacks.

Requirements:

  • No experience necessary, we train all lift operators.
  • Ability to make quick decisions and multitask.
  • Physical ability to assist guests and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a mountain environment and stand for long periods.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to handle high guest volumes in a professional manner.
