This position operates at the highest level of independence and requires strong technical and practical knowledge of plant biological functions, with potato experience preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records according to the Potato Growing Agreement contract.
  • Develop crop forecasts using historical data.
  • Coordinate planting schedules based on area, harvest yield history, and variety.
  • Consult with growers on irrigation, nutrition, and disease control programs for optimal crop health.
  • Evaluate crop samples and adjust schedules as needed.
  • Negotiate contracts with growers regarding pricing, transportation, and harvesting.
  • Monitor company assigned storages when applicable.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university.
  • 3+ years of related experience and/or training.
  • Strong agricultural knowledge in planting, harvesting, and equipment.
  • Good computer system skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
