Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Childcare Educator to join our team at ON LTD. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing environment that supports the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bathing, diapering, and feeding infants and toddlers
  • Developing and implementing child-care programs
  • Leading activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and taking children on outings
  • Supervising staff, trainees, or volunteers
  • Assisting with record-keeping and ordering supplies
  • Encouraging creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
  • Guiding children in developing good eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Preparing snacks and arranging rooms or furniture for meals and rest periods
  • Observing children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems
  • Reporting to parents, guardians, or supervisors
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A College, CEGEP, or non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Experience working with children, preferably in a childcare setting
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations and emergency first aid procedures
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, working 37.5 to 42 hours per week. You will be required to:
