Job Title: Construction Labourer and Helper

We are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer and Helper to join our team at Yellow Belly Brewery. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting in various construction tasks, ensuring the smooth execution of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, Unload, and Transport Construction Materials: Safely load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Mix, Pour, and Spread Materials: Assist in mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt.
  • Assist in Aligning Pipes: Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction.
  • Assist in Framing Houses: Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Pave and Rake Asphalt: Pave and rake asphalt as required.
  • Clean and Pile Salvaged Materials: Clean and pile salvaged materials for reuse.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance work as needed.
  • Clean Up Chemical Spills: Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants.
  • Remove Rubble and Debris: Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.
Requirements:
  • Criminal Record Check: A criminal record check is required for this position.
  • Physical Demands: This role is physically demanding and requires manual dexterity, handling heavy loads, and hand-eye coordination.
  • Weight Handling: You will be required to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) as part of your duties.
  • Personal Suitability: We are looking for someone who is accurate, dependable, and has excellent oral communication skills.
Work Conditions:

This is a permanent position, working 30-40 hours per week. The language of work is English.
