Job Title: Software Development Director

At Vention, we are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Director to lead our ecommerce platform engineering team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of our ecommerce platform, driving technical vision and strategy, and fostering a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage a team of engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster professional growth and achieve high-performance.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to define and prioritize the engineering roadmap for the ecommerce platform.
  • Drive the technical vision, architecture, and design of our ecommerce solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
  • Set clear goals and objectives for the team, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team, promoting best practices and ensuring effective knowledge sharing.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an engineering leader and managing software engineering teams.
  • Strong technical background in software development, with expertise in ecommerce platforms, web technologies, and cloud-based architectures.
  • Solid understanding of agile software development methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing engineering teams.
