Job Title: Bricklayer

Cruz Masonry Ltd. is seeking a skilled Bricklayer to join our team. As a Bricklayer, you will be responsible for laying bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units to build residential and commercial structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units to build walls, floors, and other structures.
  • Estimate materials and tools required for projects.
  • Lay bricks and stone to provide veneer facing.
  • Construct and install prefabricated masonry units.
  • Build patios, garden walls, and other decorative installations.
  • Read sketches and blueprints to calculate materials required.
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages.
  • Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools.
  • Lay bricks or other masonry units to build chimneys and fireplaces.
  • Lay radial bricks to build masonry shells of industrial chimneys.
  • Lay or install firebricks to line industrial chimneys and smokestacks.
  • Restore, clean, or paint existing masonry structures.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Physically demanding.
  • Handling heavy loads.
  • Standing for extended periods.
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling.
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience.
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Accurate, client-focused, efficient interpersonal skills, reliability, and team player.
Work Environment:
  • 35 to 44 hours per week.
  • English language required.
  • Permanent work term.
