Job Title: Telecommunications Technician

At Smart Telecom and Automation solutions, we are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team. As a Telecommunications Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain telecommunications equipment, including telephone systems, wiring, and associated hardware.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in telecommunications equipment and systems.
  • Inspect and test telecommunications equipment and systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Install and configure cable modems and software to enable Internet access.
  • Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers.
  • Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures.
  • Connect, disconnect, and relocate cable outlets.
  • Determine work assignments and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in telecommunications installation and maintenance.
  • Permanent employment.
  • 35 hours per week.
  • English language proficiency.
