Nurse Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Care Specialist to provide high-quality nursing care to our residents. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent, and current registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care.
- Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care.
- Ensure timely and accessible admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Manage the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Effective, compassionate, and supportive manner when dealing with others.
- Respect for each resident's individuality and right to self-respect and privacy.
- Knowledge of relevant Federal, Provincial, and Municipal Statues.
- Medical Clearance, including TB tests.
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check and/or Adult Abuse Registry Check.
- Clear Criminal Record check.
