The successful candidate will assist in the hardware electrical design of new or revised products, equipment, and installations, utilizing established engineering principles to meet customer requirements. This role involves working on designs of moderate complexity and collaborating with junior team members to develop their skills.

Beyond the technical aspects of this role, you will also be responsible for effectively presenting pros and cons for various courses of action and verifying that all assigned work has been completed accurately. Occasional travel may be required to customer sites, up to three times per year.

To succeed in this position, you will need to possess a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of diplomas and work experience. A minimum of 6 years' experience in the electrical engineering industry is also required, including expertise in cabling, grounding techniques, and surge protection.

Additionally, you should have strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including power circuits design, electronic circuits, and telecommunications circuits. Proficiency in CAD systems, multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and protocol analyzers is also essential. Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary for clear and concise communication with colleagues and customers.

If you have over 10 years of experience in the Railway Signalling industry and possess a Professional Engineer's License (P.Eng.), you will be at an advantage in this role. Implementing designs using good design practice and applicable standards and guidelines is crucial, as well as making efficient re-use of existing designs.

We offer a dynamic work environment where diversity and inclusion are valued. We encourage applications from individuals who share our commitment to innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
