Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Expert to join our team at Maarut Inc. as a Senior Applications Architect. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of modern network technology, broadband connectivity, industry options, network security, cyber security, and other internet technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide subject matter expertise, advice, consultancy, and training on various network and cyber security architectures and frameworks, including Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), Zero-trust architecture (ZTA), Cloud security architecture, Software-defined networking (SDN), and SDWAN.
  • Design and develop modern networks, network security, and cyber security solutions in the education sector, preferably in the Ontario K-12 school board environment.
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholder groups to develop tailored approaches and implementation plans.
  • Travel to client sites in Ontario as needed to perform hands-on configuration, troubleshooting, and training.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in cyber security, network security, and network protection architectures, frameworks, and solutions, including SDN and SD-WAN.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience providing subject matter expertise and leading implementation of network security and network protection solutions and technologies implementation preferably for Ontario K-12 school boards.
  • Relevant security certification required (e.g., CISSP or CISM).
  • Postgraduate degree (e.g., M.Sc. and/or Ph.D.) in computer science or engineering is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience working with Ontario K-12 school boards, in particular with school board networks and network security.
  • Hands-on experience providing design, development, and delivery of technical training courses to Ontario K-12 school boards.
