About the Role

Ciena Canada, Inc. is seeking an experienced Product Integrity Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our product integrity team, you will be responsible for ensuring our products meet global regulatory and commercial compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with product development teams to define regulatory/commercial test requirements and develop compliance programs.
  • Advise on product compliance derisk activities and test requirements for customer lab engagements.
  • Assist in design, documentation, and marking requirements to satisfy regulatory/commercial conformance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including design teams, account and system engineering teams, external test facilities, and finance primes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • 10 years of experience dealing with global/international EMC standards/product safety standards/commercial standards in the telecom networking space.
  • Working knowledge of global/international EMC standards in the ITE and Telecom Networking space, including CISPR 32/EN 55032, CISPR 35/EN55035, CISPR 24/EN 55024, FCC Part 15, ICES-003, ETSI EN 300 386, and IEC/EN 61000-X-Y.
  • Working knowledge of ITE product safety standards, including IEC/UL/EN 60950-1, IEC/EN 60825-1, IEC/EN 60825-2, and IEC/EN 62368-1.
  • Familiarity with commercial standards/specifications in the telecom networking space, including Telcordia GR-63-CORE, Telcordia GR-1089-CORE, Telcordia GR-3108, Telcordia GR-487, ETSI EN 300 019-X-Y, and ETSI EN 300 132-Y.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
