About the Role

Newmont Goldcorp Canada is seeking a skilled Underground Support Miner to join our team at the Hoyle Pond site in Timmins, ON. As a key member of our underground operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our mining processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform underground construction, including timbering and ventilation, to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Operate and maintain various underground mobile equipment, including jacklegs, stopers, and service vehicles.
  • Read and understand mining prints to ensure accurate and efficient execution of tasks.
  • Collaborate with the Frontline Supervisor to identify and address safety concerns and improve overall operations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of three (3) years of mining experience
  • Underground Common Core Certificate
  • Fall arrest training
  • Heavy machinery experience an asset
  • Self-motivated and good planning and organizational skills
  • Teamwork-oriented and good safety and attendance record
Working Conditions

The schedule is 5x5x4, and relocation may be required for candidates who do not live in the area. The role is based at our Hoyle Pond site near Timmins, ON.
