We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team at Park Lane Chevrolet Cadillac Ltd. as a Commercial Transport Truck Systems Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with commercial transport truck systems, as well as adjusting, repairing, or replacing parts and components as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
  • Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
  • Discuss work with supervisor
  • Review work orders
  • Road test motor vehicles
  • Test automotive systems and components
  • Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  • Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
  • Coach and instruct apprentices
  • Provide customer service

Requirements:

  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in this field of employment
  • Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Steel-toed safety boots
