Job Title: Automotive Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team at Park Lane Chevrolet Cadillac Ltd. in [Location].

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on commercial transport trucks, including adjusting, repairing, or replacing parts and components. They will also be required to inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, and to troubleshoot and diagnose issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on commercial transport trucks
  • Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components as needed
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with mechanical units
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  • Estimate parts and labor costs for vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service
  • Test and adjust units to specifications
  • Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
  • Coach and instruct apprentices
  • Provide customer service
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the field of employment
  • Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Or equivalent experience
  • Steel-toed safety boots
