Job Summary

The Government of Alberta is seeking a skilled Contract Analyst to join our team in the Motor Vehicles and Registries Administration (MVRA) Branch. As a Contract Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of vendor contracts that supply services and goods to support MVRA operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the assessment, planning, and implementation of vendor contracts.
  • Monitor and manage contracts through regular operational meetings, validating invoices, and coordinating responses between vendors and business areas.
  • Monitor and analyze the delivery of services, cost of services, and service requests, and coordinate with others for quality assurance.
  • Creation of purchase orders for all service contracts, monitoring total contract spend and estimate, and ensuring invoices are submitted by vendors and approved by departments accurately.
  • Act as a liaison among the vendor community and business areas within the division and other stakeholder teams.
  • Manage procurement and contracting activities through the entire life cycle for MVRA.

Requirements

  • Excellent consultation, interpersonal, and facilitation skills to consult, negotiate, and resolve conflicts with stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills, with the ability to work independently under strict timelines.
  • In-depth knowledge of contract law, contract preparation, and contract management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
