We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Aboriginal Outreach Worker to join our team at Native Counselling Services of Alberta. As an Outreach Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and services to Aboriginal individuals and communities.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing outreach services to Aboriginal individuals and communities, including assessment, counseling, and referral.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with other service providers to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
  • Participating in community events and activities to promote the organization's services and build relationships with community members.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A college diploma or equivalent in a related field, such as social work or counseling.
  • Experience working with Aboriginal communities and individuals, preferably in a counseling or outreach capacity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to cultural safety and humility.
