Job Title: Truck and Transport Service Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Truck and Transport Service Technician to join our team at Spar-Marathon Roofing Supplies. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our commercial transport trucks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems
  • Repair or replace mechanical units or components
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service
  • Test and adjust units to specifications
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Or equivalent experience
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Fast-paced environment
  • Hand-eye co-ordination
  • Attention to detail
  • Manual dexterity
  • Standing for extended periods
