We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Medicine Physician to join our team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive primary health care services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring the delivery of comprehensive primary health care services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness.
- Be accountable for appropriate workload and practice, ensuring efficient use of resources and effective management of patient care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure continuum of patient care, including coordination of community-based care, secondary and tertiary level health care.
- Operate within the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of Nova Scotia Health Authority, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
- Work towards same day or next day access for the practice population, ensuring timely and effective patient care.
- Collaborate with other team members in the practice to best suit the community's health needs, ensuring effective communication and coordination of care.
- Participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities, ensuring continuous improvement of patient care and services.
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
- Eligibility for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
