Job Title: Building Maintenance Worker

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Building Maintenance Worker to join our team at Canning's Personal Care Home.

Job Summary:

The Building Maintenance Worker will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and upkeep of our facilities to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, painting, and repairing of facilities and equipment.
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners, wash windows, and perform other tasks as required.
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Contact contractors for major repairs and maintenance.
  • Perform safety and security checks, and move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
  • Work with minimal supervision and take initiative to complete tasks efficiently.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Criminal record check.
Work Environment:

The Building Maintenance Worker will work in an urban area, specifically in a retirement home setting.

What We Offer:
