Job Title: Building Maintenance Worker

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Building Maintenance Worker to join our team at Canning's Personal Care Home.

Job Summary:

The Building Maintenance Worker will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and upkeep of our facilities to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, painting, and repairing of facilities and equipment
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners and other equipment to remove debris and maintain a clean environment
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Perform safety and security checks to ensure the well-being of residents and staff
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed
  • Perform other routine maintenance jobs, such as drywall repair and lawn maintenance
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to maintain a clean and hygienic environment
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual labor
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Criminal record check
Working Conditions:

The Building Maintenance Worker will work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. The position requires physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual labor. The worker will be required to work in various weather conditions, including snow and ice.
