Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our team at Auberge du Portage. As a key member of our culinary staff, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Menu Planning: Create and implement menus that meet the high standards of our restaurant, ensuring that dishes are creative, delicious, and visually appealing.
  • Kitchen Management: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that inventory levels are optimized to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
  • Food Safety: Ensure that local health and sanitation regulations are adhered to at all times, maintaining a clean and safe environment for our customers and staff.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A strong background in culinary arts, with experience in a similar position.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide your team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Compensation

The salary for this position is approximately $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
