Job Title: Nursing Attendant - Patient Care Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Nursing Attendant to join our team at Pro Health Care Services Inc. as a Patient Care Specialist. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care and support in a home care and visiting care agency setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities to promote physical and mental well-being.
  • Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up, and assembling medical equipment to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort, including bathing, dressing, and grooming patients.
  • Supply and empty bed pans, and take patients' blood pressure, temperature, and pulse to monitor their health.
  • Serve meal trays and feed patients, and weigh, lift, turn, and position patients to ensure their safety and comfort.
  • Maintain patients' rooms, including making beds and supervising exercise routines.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and administer first aid in emergency situations.

Requirements:

  • First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate.
  • Criminal record check.
  • Own transportation.

Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, repetitive tasks, physically demanding, manual dexterity, attention to detail, combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking.

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
