About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Teacher's Assistant at Kumon - Brandon. As a key member of our educational team, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education Support: Assist students individually or in small groups with assignments and reinforce learning and retention concepts under the supervision of the classroom teacher.
  • Classroom Management: Monitor students during recess and lunch hour, ensuring a safe and respectful environment.
  • Student Integration: Assist students with integration into the classroom and school setting, promoting a smooth transition.
  • Classroom Inventory: Assist with classroom inventory, maintaining a well-organized and efficient learning environment.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor and report student progress to the classroom teacher, providing valuable insights for instruction.
  • Technical Support: Assist the teacher in the operation of projectors, tape recorders, and other audio-visual or electronic equipment.
  • Special Needs Support: Assist students with special needs using techniques such as sign language, braille, and remedial programs.
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Permanent employment.
  • Language of work: English.
  • Hours of work: 40 hours per week.
