The role of Associate Pastor of Discipleship at First Baptist Church Nanaimo is a pivotal one, centered around guiding disciples in their journey towards spiritual maturity. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Theology or a related field and have at least three years of experience in church leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for discipleship ministries
  • Foster opportunities for personal transformation through holistic teaching and discipleship events
  • Cultivate relationships with the Lead Pastor, Elders, and other Ministry Leaders to ensure effective collaboration and support

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters-level education in Theology or a related field
  • Experience in spiritual formation processes and evangelistic vision

This position requires a servant-leader mindset, with a strong ability to nurture personal growth, provide pastoral support, and develop life groups. The successful candidate will be an active participant in the leadership team and embody spiritual practices, self-care, and ongoing leadership development.

This individual will work closely with the Lead Pastor and other Ministry Leaders to create a culture of disciple-making, fostering a missional context that promotes evangelism, outreach, and community engagement.
