About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Irrigation Engineer to join our Western Canada Irrigation team. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on the Westside Irrigation Rehabilitation Project in Saskatchewan, responsible for completing fieldwork, planning, and engineering to the next stage of project design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake engineering studies, engineering design, and document preparation for irrigation planning and design projects.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams, clients, or other consultants.
  • Conduct fieldwork or investigations as required.
  • Assist in proposal preparation where necessary.
  • Mentor, train, and/or supervise junior engineers.
  • Attend in-house and formal training sessions to ensure continuing professional development.
  • Adhere to Stantec's Environmental Health and Safety protocols and processes.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in irrigation system planning and design.
  • Understanding of all phases of project implementation and strong understanding of engineering design processes.
  • Knowledge of soil water relationships.
  • Experience with hydraulic analysis/modeling.
  • Excellent communication, written, and presentation skills.
  • Collaborative nature with ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
