Job Title: Retail Store Owner

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Owner to join our team at KAMLOOPS HALAL FOOD INC.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, including managing staff, planning and organizing daily tasks, and developing and implementing marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate daily operations and make informed decisions to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Plan and organize daily tasks, including managing staff and assigning duties.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase sales and customer engagement.
  • Manage budgets and monitor revenues and expenses to ensure financial stability.
  • Determine staffing requirements and recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers.
  • Provide physical, visual, and auditory accessibility accommodations for customers with disabilities.
  • Participate in government or community programs that support persons with disabilities, newcomers, and refugees.
  • Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for youth, Veterans, Indigenous people, and mature workers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
  • Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail or business management role.
