We are seeking a talented and motivated graduate to join our Transportation team at GHD. As a Highway Road & Bridges Graduate, you will have the opportunity to launch your career in highway engineering, bridge engineering, and project management.
About the Role
This is a great opportunity for a new graduate from a Civil Engineering program to learn and grow as a highway or bridge design engineer. The role will include a mix of design, engineering, and project management support, ideal for a candidate looking to grow their career as a proficient highway engineer, and eventually a project manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of transportation studies, including traffic analysis, data collection, and report-writing.
- Assist the Project Manager through the life cycle of the project, including proposal preparation, project administration, and communications with clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with small and large teams, integrating with other engineering disciplines to produce high-quality project deliverables.
- Prepare reports and contract documents for review agencies, clients, and the public.
- Coordinate with sub-consultants, clients, agencies, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree in Civil Engineering.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for launching a career in transportation engineering.
- Familiarity with analysis or design software such as Synchro, Aimsun, Vissim, Emme, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads, would be an asset.
- Previous work experience in an engineering or contracting environment would be an asset.
