Software Development Co-op Opportunity at Hatch Ltd.

Hatch Ltd. is a leading company in the mining, energy, and infrastructure sectors, with a strong presence in 150 countries. We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Software Development Co-op.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a creative and innovative individual to work with our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge technology solutions. As a Software Development Co-op, you will be responsible for working on various technical activities, including estimating, sprint planning, software development life cycle activities, code reviews, testing, research, deployments, and documentation creation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in Agile teams to complete the committed backlog within the agreed-upon timeline.
  • Be involved with all technical activities within the team, including estimating, sprint planning, software development life cycle activities, code reviews, testing, research, deployments, and documentation creation.
  • Adhere to the collaboration and communication of both the development teams and IT to automate the process of software delivery.
  • Contribute to advising on risk and order of feature development with the overall goal of delivering valuable, working software to production in a continuous release product lifecycle.
  • Remain abreast of technology developments within fields relevant to current and future initiatives and development work.
  • Disciplined use of source control and process documentation.
Requirements
  • Familiarity with various requirements gathering techniques, software usability, and software prototyping.
  • Exposure to Agile software development lifecycle processes such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Ability to work in an environment of multiple parallel projects and within a team environment.
  • C# or.NET development experience.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server and T-SQL.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in these Protocols – REST via Web API + JSON, OData.
  • Experience with MS DevOps (Scrum and Source Control).
  • Working knowledge and experience in the following technologies an asset: MS SharePoint online, Microsoft PowerBI, and working with Microsoft Azure including storage accounts, API apps, and API Management services.
  • Understanding of all aspects of software development and implementation.
