Join Our Team as a Software Developer Co-op Student

Rodan Energy is a leading North American energy services company that delivers valuable energy solutions to help clients reduce their energy costs and GHG emissions. We are seeking a technically adept and motivated computer science co-op student who has strong communication skills and is committed to enabling the clean energy transition.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in the design, implementation, and maintenance of a suite of SaaS software tools to visualize energy market information and help minimize our customer's energy spending.
  2. Support and contribute to solution requirements gathering, solution design, sprint planning, retrospectives, code reviews.
  3. Perform ad hoc client support activities, including issue triage and resolving issues.
  4. Develop rough order of magnitude estimates on new product requests or projects requiring software development.

Requirements:

  1. Enrolled in post-secondary diploma or degree co-op program in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related program.
  2. Strong verbal and written communication skills to capture or clarify technical requirements from business users or product owners.
  3. Programming skills in one of two technology stacks: Market Dashboard Stack or Energy Management System Stack.

This is a flexible hybrid role where you are required to work both remotely and in person depending on business needs. You will be required to work at our Corporate HQ office in Mississauga a minimum of 4 days per week in addition to attending and participating in workshops, projects, or team meetings.
