About the Role

MANN INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION LTD. is seeking a highly skilled Placement Officer to join our team. As a Placement Officer, you will play a crucial role in identifying current and prospective staffing requirements, collecting and screening applicants, and advising job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staffing and Recruitment
    • Identify current and prospective staffing requirements to ensure the company's needs are met.
    • Collect and screen applicants to ensure they meet the company's requirements.
    • Advise job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment.
  • Candidate Management
    • Review candidate inventories to ensure the best candidates are selected.
    • Contact potential applicants to arrange interviews and assessments.
    • Recruit graduates of colleges, universities, and other educational institutions to meet the company's staffing needs.
  • Eligibility and Training
    • Determine eligibility to entitlements and arrange staff training to ensure employees are equipped to perform their roles.
    • Supervise personnel clerks performing filing, typing, and record-keeping duties.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Maintain certifications and licenses, such as the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP), to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Work Environment and Physical Capabilities
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, requiring attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Demonstrate accurate, client-focused, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, judgment, and reliability.
  • Experience
    • Have 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees
    • Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees.
    • Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and refugees, such as housing, transportation, and childcare.
    • Support social and labor market integration of newcomers and refugees, including facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
    Requirements
    • Language
      • Fluency in English is required.
    • Work Hours
      • Work 32 to 40 hours per week.
