Anesthesiologist Opportunity in Northern British Columbia

At Northern Health, we are seeking an experienced Anesthesiologist to join our dynamic team at the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia (UHNBC) in Prince George.
Job OverviewThis is a full-time opportunity to work with a robust team of 11 Anesthesiologists and regular locums, providing anesthetic services to a wide range of surgical specialties. The hospital has an accredited level 3 trauma unit and the Intensive Care Unit is an integral part of this.
Responsibilities- Provide anesthetic services to patients undergoing various surgical procedures, including general surgery, urology, orthopedic, plastic, ENT, obstetrics & gynecology, ophthalmology, and vascular surgery
- Participate in on-call commitments, approximately 1 in 8
To be successful in this role, you must be eligible for Fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) and have anaesthesia experience.
Compensation PackageThe estimated gross income for this position is $500,000+. In addition to a competitive salary, you will also receive:
- Recruitment Incentive: $15,000
- Relocation Assistance: $9,000-15,000
- Retention Premium: 12.60%
- Retention Flat Fee: $19,526.40
The University Hospital of Northern British Columbia is the largest acute care facility in the Northern Health region and a hub for specialized health services. It's also a teaching hospital, providing undergraduate physician training through the Northern Medical Program and hosting residents in UBC's Family Practice Residency Program.
