Job Title: Community Pharmacist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Community Pharmacist to join our team at Healthteam Holdings.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and services in a community pharmacy setting. This includes advising customers on the selection and use of non-prescription medication, checking prescriptions for proper dosage, and maintaining medication profiles of customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise customers on the selection and use of non-prescription medication, ensuring they receive the best possible care and advice.
  • Check prescriptions for proper dosage, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Maintain medication profiles of customers, including registry of poisons and narcotic and controlled drugs.
  • Manage the storage, packaging, and distribution of medicinal products, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of other pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, pharmacy technicians, and other staff.
Requirements
  • Certification for drug administration by injection and intranasal route.
  • Pharmacy Examining Boards of Canada Certification.
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced community pharmacy environment, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work under pressure, manage a large workload, and maintain attention to detail.
