About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Accumetal Manufacturing Inc. as a Press Brake Operator.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Inspection: Check products for correct shapes, dimensions, and other specifications to ensure high-quality metal fabrication.
  • Metal Forming: Cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, weld, or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products using various metalworking machines.
  • Documentation: Document work completed, including any issues or problems encountered, to maintain accurate records.
  • Problem-Solving: Investigate problems to fix or make minor repairs, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal production.
  • Machine Operation: Lay out, set up, and operate one or more light or heavy metalworking machines, including presses and forging machines.
  • Quality Control: Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions to ensure products meet quality standards.
  • Material Handling: Select and transport material to the work area manually or using a crane or hoist.
  • Engineering Drawings: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to understand product specifications.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Forklift Operator Certification is an asset.
  • Equipment Experience: Experience with brakes, lifting devices, overhead cranes, and computer numerical control (CNC) machines is required.
  • Metal Forming Experience: Forming experience is essential.
  • Work Conditions: Ability to work in a dusty and noisy environment, with physically demanding tasks, including handling heavy loads and standing for extended periods.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Strong judgment, organizational skills, and ability to work in a team environment.
