About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Analyst to join our team at Magna Exteriors. As a Material Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of inventory listed in CMI, including any follow-ups to resolve disagreements between physical inventory confirmations and CMI system.

You will also be responsible for expediting purchased components, packaging items and subcontracted items to support production requirements, reviewing and auditing supplier releases on a daily basis, and ensuring that all materials are on time with the correct quantities to support production.

The ideal candidate will have a College Diploma in Supply Chain/Materials Management or equivalent, minimum 3 years related experience in automotive manufacturing environment, excellent English communication skills, and computer literacy in MRP / ERP scheduling systems, purchasing systems & cycle-count systems.

Your Responsibilities
  • Ensure the integrity of inventory listed in CMI, including any follow-ups to resolve disagreements between physical inventory confirmations and CMI system
  • Expedite purchased components, packaging items and subcontracted items to support production requirements
  • Review and audit supplier releases on a daily basis
  • Ensure that all materials are on time with the correct quantities to support production
  • Coordinate freight to suppliers (inbound/outbound) for Mytox responsible runs
  • Report problems which may affect production immediately to supervisor
  • Follow up with the supplier and receiving department ensuring that the supplier has enough packaging to support our deliveries without interruption within the supply chain
  • Evaluate/maintain supplier delivery performance
  • Initiate via Buyers, supplier debit/credit notes for shipment discrepancies, excess freight charges
  • Support outside business hours as and when required which have a direct or immediate impact on production and/or customer
  • Act as backup within the Inventory Group whenever required
