We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flight Attendant to join our team as a Purser. As a key member of our In-Flight Services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of our passengers and flight attendants on board our aircraft.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the activities of flight attendants to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Monitor and maintain the highest standards of safety and customer service on every flight.
- Collaborate with the Captain to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve passenger satisfaction and loyalty.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide coaching and training to flight attendants to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Act as a liaison between the flight deck and cabin crew to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Manage and resolve customer complaints and issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to continuously improve our services.
- Minimum of 19 years of age at time of employment.
- Completion of secondary school.
- Fluency in English and French is mandatory.
- A minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of experience as a flight attendant is required.
- Three (3) to four (4) years of experience working with the public in a customer service role is required.
- Must hold a current, valid Canadian Passport, or current, valid International Passport with current US Crewmember Visa (C-1/D).
- Ability to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) and successfully complete company screening process.
- Ability to meet required medical standards (including a drug test).
- Previous work experience as an In-Charge Flight Attendant is considered an asset.
- Proven leadership skills from prior work experience.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent process analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate a safety-first mindset.
- Must successfully pass Initial Flight Attendant Training and maintain qualifications in order to operate as a Purser.
- Must demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills with the ability to proactively follow-up where needed and provide constructive feedback.
- Must have excellent safety and customer service knowledge.
- Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Pursers may be called to work at short notice and therefore must be able to reach the airport within 2 hours of callout.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
